developed
& manufactured in Austria
designed for 15 years of troublefree operation, 24 hours every day, but still running more than 20 years in the industry troublefree.
The production is stopped but maintenance and software modifications
are contiuously performed by Franz Glaser MEG, Austria +43 7219 7035-4 (Fax).
Now Year 2016 I have serious troubles to support the memory card with
the original designed NiCd 3.6V 60mAh accumulator after 5-8 years lifetime.
The built in switching and monitoring circuit does not work properly
with the poor NiMH accumulators, that can be charged up to 4.3V. This
high voltage inhibits switching to normal operating state during power
on and it is an alarm signal for a defective (NiCd) accumulator.
It is easy to reconstruct a new memory card but the troubles concern
existing memories with sensitive parameters and recipes.

Application
schematic, ATLAN connected to a standard PLC (industrial "programmable
logic controller") for the tasks near the machines and a PC for statistics
and other office type stuff.
The
ATLAN computer is responsible for weighing and dosage, recipe mixing and
the automatic process flow. It has its own textmode console for flow monitoring,
recipe entry and failure diagnosis
.
The
PC is usually switched off during production, it is used to download the
collected statistics on demand and save them on disk for all the "academic"
operations. |

The
ATLAN is not a sly high-volume product, it is developed and manufactured
with serious workmanship for the investing industrial enterprise. |
